Ethan Setiawan is a recording engineer, mixer, producer, and mandolinist. A specialist in recording acoustic music across genres such as American roots, Celtic, jazz, and all the spots in between, Ethan's journey in music began as a mandolinist interested in technology. He has worked on numerous records for various artists as well as his own projects as an engineer, mixer, and producer. As one of the premier American mandolinists he possesses a player’s perspective on the music he records, which uniquely qualifies him to work on traditional music in an engineer’s capacity.
Throughout his career, Ethan has contributed to numerous successful projects, leaving an indelible mark on the roots music scene. His portfolio includes collaborations with Joe K. Walsh, Cecilia Vacanti, Mile Twelve, Louise Bichan, Carolyn Kendrick, Sadie Gustafson-Zook, and the Rhythm Future Quartet.
